About Me

I grew up watching rom-coms, and all the cool girls in the movies were journalists, so I became one. :)

I’ve always been into storytelling. I joined journalism contests throughout elementary and middle school and wrote for school publications in high school. What started as a childhood interest eventually turned into a passion for telling stories and connecting with people.

As a student journalist, I’ve covered major sporting events, protests, local events and stories that bring communities together. I'm drawn to stories about people, community and the moments that bring us together.

I also have experience creating content for small businesses, including Yoga Passage and Hayahay Massage, through photography, social media and advertising.

When I'm not writing stories, you'll probably find me working one of my two serving jobs. The role has taught me how to supervise the floor, stay organized in fast-paced environments and adapt quickly when things get busy. I spend a lot of time chatting with customers, joking around with regulars and debating about sports. Getting to meet so many different people has become one of my favourite parts of the job.
